TERROR SYNDROME Overcoming Studio Mishaps

November 20, 2007

THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen has issued the following update on the status of the as-yet-unreleased debut album from his Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-based band TERROR SYNDROME:

"It's been an interesting few weeks or so since our hard drive fizzed on us. We lost some of the last bit of tracking we did including some bass track fixes. Don't worry, we backed almost everything up and all the guest appearances are safe it was just a few things we lost.

"We decided to get Mike Young back in with an even bigger bass sound than our original sound and re-track eight songs!!!! A big thanks to Devin Townsend for coming in on short notice and dialing up a killer bass sound for us, it sounds aggressive as fuck!!!!

"Mike did a fucking fantastic job. The tracks were laid down in two days!!! The songs are as tight as ever and we did get some cool video footage of Mike laying down his tracks. You'll see that video soon. Next, we're going to get Dave Young in and re-track a couple guitar parts, then Denton, then we will be ready for mixing.

"This mishap sucked but in a weird way it helped us come up with an even better bass sound!!!! Who knows, maybe some other cool stuff will come out of this mishap."
